Fireside chat: A systemic approach to wellbeing

February 23, 2026 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM ET

Cet événement se déroulera en anglais, mais des sous-titres en français seront disponibles pendant la session.

Across the country, education professionals and researchers are increasingly calling for systemic actions to support the wellbeing of staff and students. But what does a systemic approach to wellbeing look like? And how does addressing wellbeing fit within our role as educators? In this fireside chat, our panel of experts will share their perspectives and provide practical examples for building a culture of wellbeing within your own school system. Following the panel conversation there will be opportunities for audience engagement.

Meet our panelists:

  • Dennis Shirley, Research Professor, Department of Formative Education at the Lynch School of Education and Human Development, Boston College.

  • Christina MacKinnon, Assistant Superintendent, Educational Excellence

  • Simon Dallimore, Staff Officer, Counselling and Members Services Department, Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association

  • Roza Gray, Well at Work Advisor

  • Charlie Naylor, Well at Work Advisor
