Facilitated by: Charlie Naylor
Upcoming Workshop: April 18, 2024 | 12:30-1:30 pm ET
A holistic approach to workplace wellbeing that builds on the strengths of your school district
Education leaders across the country know that employee wellbeing is important: when employees experience wellbeing, they can do their best work, create positive work and school environments, and are better able to adapt to shifting priorities.
This workshop challenges us to consider wellbeing not as an initiative, but rather as a lens through which we approach our work and the work of our school divisions. Throughout the workshop we will draw on your experience as system leaders, applying your insights from successful projects as we consider systemic actions to support wellbeing.
You will leave the workshop with:
A conceptual understanding of how systems and cultures influence wellbeing and contextual factors relevant to your school district.
Practical examples of strategies, structures, supports that school districts have implemented to create systems and cultures that support wellbeing.
Questions to explore with your school district as you develop your workplace wellbeing plans.
Additional resources to support attendees’ wellbeing journey.
We encourage participants to register as a team of two to three individuals so that you can discuss how the concepts and ideas can be applied in your school district. If there are four or more individuals from your school district interested in attending, please contact us for more information about organizing a custom session.
Charlie Naylor, Well at Work Lead Advisor, Head Coach, and BC Strategic Consultant
Charlie Naylor builds capacity in school district leaders and teams to embed mental wellbeing into their district’s culture, priorities, and structures in ways that reflect their specific context. He does this through developing and executing curriculum and training as part of a national coaching and consulting program for school districts that are ready to move from data to action on the topic of K-12 workplace wellbeing. To advance awareness of the need for greater investment in K-12 workplace wellbeing, Charlie also supports a projected BC-based study analyzing the prevalence and costs of workplace ill-being in the education sector. He also provides strategy support for BC stakeholder engagement activities to build stakeholder relationships and align efforts.
