EdCan Members Event: 2024-25 Fireside Chat Series

EdCan Members Event

2024-25 Fireside Chat Series

THURSDAYS | 11:30 – 12:30 pm PT | 2:30 - 3:30 pm ET

Our work supporting school districts to implement the Guarding Minds at Work survey has led to some thought-provoking conversations with the school districts: What does it mean if 90% of employees indicate that they feel burned out at work? Teachers spend their days working with people, why are 86% of them reporting that they feel lonely at work?

In the 2024-25 school year, EdCan members will have the opportunity to join the Well at Work team for a series of fireside chats to dive deep into some of the common trends that we are seeing. In these small group conversations, you will have the opportunity to explore how these trends might be showing up in your school district. How might they enhance or hinder employees in your school district from doing their best work every day? What can be done to create meaningful change?

These live conversations will NOT be recorded. Available spaces will be limited.

October 3 – Involvement and Influence

Increasingly, research shows that involvement and influence in the workplace promote wellbeing, and yet 50% of the employees in the school districts that we worked with expressed concerns about being informed of changes and having a say in how they were implemented.

November 7 – Loneliness

In the 2023-24 school year, three-quarters of all employees and 86% of teachers in the school districts that we worked with indicated that they felt lonely at work.

December 5 – Burnout

Last year, 80-100% of K-12 employees of the school districts that we worked with indicated that they felt burned out at work.

Registration will open approximately 1 month prior to each event.
